POSSESSION: Generally possible of all spirits with strong powers. If only possessed, when Shu-Chi leaves, it will be as if the person lived as themselves the entire time. Spirits gain memories of the soul to align with the vessel's path. However, vessels whose souls are devoured will become empty husks that will begin to wither away from the effects of death after the spirit departs.
SPIRIT ROADS: There are paths to get from one place to another on the astral plane that only spirits can take. Some of these paths may be guarded by other deities and may limit where certain spirits can go. Certain shrines, for example, may be closed off to lesser or dangerous spirits. As Shu-Chi is part deity, he has general access, but other guardians tend to keep a close eye on him due to his past.
OFFERINGS: Offerings are often made to spirits as thanks for their protection. In spirit form, the chi of these offerings is what is taken, leaving the physical offering behind. This allows spirits to taste what food would be like in the tangible world, or read a book they otherwise couldn't physically hold. Although Shu-Chi has a human shell he can use to experience these things in the physical world, he is still capable of accepting chi from offerings, too, making it easy to share with someone he cares about.
ENERGY: Energy can be used, but is certainly not limited to, to cause blasts, strikes of lightning, allow a person's untapped spiritual potential to develop, or even cause flowers to bloom. It can also be used to let a spirit hold physical things and allow others to see their form. However, energy to do most of these things requires a lot of energy. While a deity can do most of these things to a certain extent, having worshipers will enable them to be able to tap into more energy more often.
SPIRIT SENSE: Shu-Chi is able to detect other nearby spirits, and uses this ability to escape being captured from other guardian deities trying to bring him to justice.
MEMORY ALTERATION: Shu-Chi can cause others to change their feelings about him and even tamper with memories. This is a manipulation tactic to get a desired result. If a stronger deity is nearby, they can suppress this ability from being used.
DANCE: The original Shu-Chi was part of the Dance Club in college and was extremely talented at it. The absorption of his soul allows the cat deity to thrive in the same ability. Shu-Chi was considered one of the top dancers in the club.
